Beef Meatballs With Mint Gremolata

With this recipe you’ll get excellent beef meatballs, which will load your body with fat and protein almost without carbs. Mint gremolata add exceptional flavor to the meatballs.

Gremolata or gremolada is made of lemon zest, garlic, parsley and mint. It is a a chopped herb condiment and traditional accompaniment to serve with meat dishes.

We use Za’atar seasoning for our meat. It’s simply made of Thyme, Roasted Sesame Seeds, Sumac, Marjoram, and Oregano. You can try other seasoning of your choice.

You can serve these meatballs with zucchini spaghetti or low carb salad.

  • 1/4 cup almond flour

For the gremolata

Instructions
For the meatballs:
  1. In a medium bowl combine all the meatball ingredients and mix well. Form one and a half inch meatballs.
    Mix all the meatball ingredients
  2. Heat the olive oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Cook the meatballs until brown on both sides (approximately 2-3 minutes per side). Remove cooked meatballs and place on a paper towel.
    Cook meatballs in a frying pan
For the gremolata:
  1. Combine the ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
  2. Serve warm, sprinkled generously with gremolata.
