FAQ

Can you use coconut flour instead of almond flour?

Yes, you can use coconut flour instead of almond flour in the keto muffin recipe, but the substitution isn’t a 1:1 ratio. Coconut flour is much more absorbent than almond flour, so you typically use about 1/4 to 1/3 of the amount of coconut flour compared to almond flour. Additionally, you may need to adjust the amount of liquid and eggs in the recipe to accommodate the change in flour and achieve the desired consistency.

How to store keto friendly muffins?

To store keto-friendly muffins, first ensure they are completely cooled. Then, place them in an airtight container. You can store them at room temperature for up to 2-3 days. For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator where they can last for about a week. If you need to store them for an extended period, they can be frozen in a freezer-safe container or bag for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature or in the refrigerator before serving. This method helps maintain their texture and flavor.

How to reheat low carb almond flour muffins

To reheat low carb almond flour muffins, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the muffins on a baking sheet and warm them in the oven for about 5-10 minutes, or until heated through. This method helps retain their moistness and texture. Alternatively, for a quicker option, you can microwave them for about 20-30 seconds, but be cautious as microwaving can sometimes dry them out or make them too soft. Heating them gently is key to maintaining their quality.
