If you’re tired of using cauliflower rice in all of your recipes (cauliflower rice, anyone?), then we’ve got a fun new way to enjoy everyone’s favorite low-carb vegetable.
Our low carb and keto-friendly Air Fryer Cauliflower Bites recipe puts a crispy, delicious spin on an old favorite. Popping your cauliflower in the air fryer is a great way to attract picky vegetable eaters.
If you’re not sold on cauliflower just yet, here’s a few reasons why it should be added to your diet. Cauliflower is a nutritional superstar. It contains a good amount of vitamin C, vitamin K, and manganese.
It also provides sulfur-containing compounds that have been shown to prevent conditions such as cancer, heart disease, and arthritis (*).
Cauliflower is a perfect option on any diet. It’s fat-free, low in calories and carbs, cholesterol-free, and is low in sodium. Not to mention, cauliflower is a great source of fiber, which helps keep you full and stabilizes blood sugar levels.
The spices in this recipe will take your cauliflower to another level. We use garlic, oregano, basil, pepper flakes, parsley, salt, and pepper. These spices contribute to the antioxidant content that you’re already getting an abundance of in the cauliflower.
The olive oil doesn’t just coat the cauliflower and make it crispier. It also contains healthy dietary fats that help you absorb the antioxidant goodness from the cauliflower and spices.
We encourage you not to skip the last step. Squeezing some lemon juice over your finished product will brighten the flavor and add some more vitamin C to your meal!
This recipe couldn’t be easier to make. You can enjoy these air fryer cauliflower bites as a snack or as a low-carb side to your favorite meat dishes. If you add extra cheese sauce into this, you can recreate this low carb cauliflower mac and cheese.
